Rod Mill is widely used in metal and nonmetal mines, glass and construction materials areas and water conservancy.It is mainly suitable to grind various ores and rocks and artificial sand-making. Rod mill has two types to choose: dry and wet. Our high-efficiency rod mill adopts rolling bearing support instead of sliding bearing support with bearing bush.Therefore, it takes advantages of even discharging size and high handling capacity. The rod mill performs best when making products having a top size of 4 meshes to 16 meshes operating in open circuit, or as fine as 35 mesh operating in closed circuit with a screen or other size-sorting device. The rod mill can be fed ore as coarse as 1 to 1/2” top size.

working principle of Rod mill

The rod mill is a horizontal rotating device transmitted by the outer gear. The materials are fed to the grinding chamber through the quill shaft uniformly. There are ladder liner and ripple liner and different specifications of ceramic ball in the chamber. The centrifugal force caused by rotation of barrel brings the ceramic ball to a certain height and impact and grind the materials. The ground materials are discharged through the discharging board thus the grinding process is finished.
